Ladida – Santa is not Coming
It’s that time of year again. December, with it all the joys of Christmas and celebration.
But what is the real meaning of Christmas?
Is it the gifts under the tree,
the lights in the windows,
the cards in the envelopes,
dining with family and friends,
Santa Claus leaving gifts before waking up,
and shouts of “Merry Christmas” to those who pass us in the streets?
Is this really Christmas?
For many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don’t have the extra money to buy presents for their children,
family, and friends. Many are saddened at Christmas time when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come
home for various reasons.
Having Christmas clothing and meal may be only a wish and not reality for some people in your neighborhood because Santa Claus doesn’t ever visit the ghetto.
He will rather stop halfway with the gifts and never come to this side of town.
Yet, Christmas should be a season of great joy.
You can be the one to bring this joy to the family and friends in need of more reasons to celebrate this season.
You have to #BETHESANTA and join the conversation with one voice to signify and show love to the needy this period of celebration.
Nigerian born Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Ladida is known for his blend of Afro, reggae and RnB is set to champion this course with a new music project he titles ‘Santa is not coming’ where he narrates the reality of life and he backs this up with an emphatic video.
