Kemi Amos – Ori + Waiting For You Ft. LKT
Kemi Amos is a Nigerian Born Female who has a passion for music. Her family is originally from Ogun State Ijebu Remo. She developed her talent throughout the years since the age of 3, her first music performance was at the age of 12 in Lagos. After her Secondary school years she moved to the UK at the age of 17 to continue her education. In her A-levels she majored in Sociology, Psychology, Music and law. After which she dabbled into professional music, working in the studio and forming a UK rock band while self-teaching herself guitar playing. Her first TV appearance was on the Debut of X factor UK. Where she got through to the semi-finals audition.
She started her university degree at Thames Valley University and graduated in Psychology and worked as a Psychologist and counselor after her graduation. She also took the initiative to work on Government supported Charity projects as a mentor. This inspired her to work with “The Sought After Kids Orphanage Ajah” a move which has led to the sponsorship/partnership of Orphanage by the Sodje Sports Foundation (a foundation created by renowned Sam Sodje and his Brothers).
Kemi Amos is a professional musician who has studied the theory of composing music and has performed at famous venues in the UK such as; Jazz Café, Ronnie Scott, E-Purple, The Arc, Metro, Trafalgar Square concerts, The Dublin Castle and other venues in Camden. She took it a step further by recording her distinctive Afro-Rock Single “Angelica” at the renowned Abbey Road Studio where artist such as Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, Adele, Rolling Stones and the Beatles recorded their hit albums. She is intensely passionate about the guitar, and is an ardent lover of Rock and Afro Music.
Her first music video and single “if you leave” was set to be released in Nigeria but was not accepted due to its diverse style.
She has worked with Nigerian artist such as KAS, Toba Gold, Adewale Ayuba and currently has an upcoming project with the Renowned Fuji-Pop Musician LKT.
She sees herself as a Musician as she writes, composes and plays music instruments.
Her role models are artist such as; Fela, Judy Garland, Lauryn Hill. She admires Nigerian artist such as; Tuface, Adewale Ayuba, Femi Kuti, Asa. Etc…
