“I have been bounced countless times at the club” – Enugu’s top hypeman, MC Dotcom
In a recent interview with SouthEastTrends, Hypeman, and MC, MC Dotcom talked about his recent plans and how he has been bounced at clubs severally.

What’s your full name
My full name is Onyia Chukwuebuka Obumneme and I hail from Udi Local Government, Enugu State.
What’s the mystery behind Dotcom?
Nothing much.. I guess it all about grace. Dotcom is just like any other hype man but has his own method of doing his things
How has your environment affected your career and your craft
My own creativity comes from things around me. So my environment has helped in many ways
If you were not being an mc or a hypeman what will u be doing?
I will go into acting. I have what it takes.
Did you ever have MCing/ hyping as one of your dreams while growing up?
No… I had a dream of becoming a footballer… I played for teams like Great Achievers Fc both at the grassroots level, played stay league and challenge cup before moving to Zarfe FC where I played for state league including other teams like Brain Boys FC, with the likes of Chisom Egbuchilam (German)
How do you juggle being an oap, mc and a hypeman
This is what I enjoy doing. OAP, Mc, hype man… They all have one father which is the mic…. I guess I was born to handle the mic.
Ever been bounced at aclub before?
Yes oooo…. Before Orange Room did that alot but later I became part of the family…. Thanks to Mc Lord Ell for believing in me
The most embarassing moment you have had in the club
[Laughs] During one of my bosses B-Day… I was hyping, it got to that point when the spirit became very high.. I wanted to climb the speaker… I heard a funny sound… Only for my boy to tell me that my short is torn
How do you prefer being addressed hypeman or mc?
I go with d two… Some call me Mc dot com… While some call me hype man dot com…im cool with anyone once “dot com ” is dia
You just featured on a single recently with DJ MANDA, is that a cue for you to venture into music?
Have worked with a lot of acts. Like Doniyk, Vdj Manda, Super V… I don’t have plans of going into music not now
You hosted your club tour two years ago and it was noted that you visited almost if not all the clubs in the SouthEast, are you currently embarking on any projects?
Yes, I have alot of things I’m working on, like my hype mix, crazy night with dot com… Got other stuff I’m working on
