According to research and forecast for the year 2017, the most in demand job will be App designers and developers, not even web designers they are going out of fashion ..yes you heard me! web design is not even something any futuristic person will wanna dabble into at this point… the world is gradually becoming smaller and smarter, everything we want can be installed in our phones, this season i have watched about 3 Real Madrid matches on my Phone via facebook live….
Your mobile device is becoming more powerful, i mean you can download apps that controls your TV and DVDs, you can even buy AC that you can control even when not at home using your mobile data bla bla bla.
Our of curiosity, i was trying to find out which Nigerian artists have a functioning website, a place where i can go to get first hand info about the artist, tour dates , booking informations bla bla bla..to my dismay one of our biggest artist in Africa at the moment, someone who had a number 1 record on billboard doesn’t have a functioning website WIZKID!, i imagined the amount of revenue he will be missing from not having one.
Imagine you give your cd to an OAP without a short bio, or maybe he stumbles on your song…while playing it, he wants to talk about you the artist, there is no place on earth he can get informations about you. sometimes musicians give out goodies (recharge cards) on social media (very funny marketing) your goal should be to use your social media platforms to pull traffic to your site. … as a lover and consumer of your music i need to be all up in your business, tour dates, up to date gist about you, as a press man where can i get your official press release and statements…. well i done talk plenty
If you don’t have websites already how can you even tap into the future and have apps ….which will give your plethora of fans a more up to date info about you (information on the go is what we want)
You are so two thousand and late if you are not already thinking of how to change gear and cruise in to the future, i’m not even talking about websites now, APPs! your your APPLICATIONs.
