Davido, who signed to major record label Sony earlier this year, sold out his 3rd UK concert at Koko’s on Monday 6th December 2016!
Davido hit the stage with a vivacious group of dancers and popular live-band The Compozers playing some of his biggest hits including ‘Aye’, ‘Gobe’ and his latest single featuring R&B songstress Tinashe ‘How Long’
Capital Xtra Presenter and global Afrobeats Ambassador Abrantee was certainly the star of the night hosting the biggest Afrobeats concert and keeping the crowd entertained with his charm and humorous wit. Abrantee beamed on stage and regaled throughout the night with fan dance-offs and even executed the viral mannequin challenge in the 1,400-capacity venue!
The concert kicked off with singing sensation Lola Rae and later saw fellow label-mates Mayorkun and rapper Dremo also grace the stage with some of their biggest hits including ‘Eleko’ and ‘Fela’
Between supporting acts, Abrantee had the crowd rocking to some of the hottest tracks of the year with the help of Davido’s DJ Ecool.
Abrantee, who was recently awarded with an award for his Outstanding Contribution to the Growth and Development of Afrobeats in the UK at Afrobeats Live in Jazz Cafe last weekend, has hosted several other sold out concerts this year including Sarkodie Live, Afrobeats Music Festival with R2bees, Ghana music Awards and much more and 2017 is set to be even bigger and better for the award-winning host, presenter, DJ and entrepreneur!
